I use my skills as a storyteller, and former actor, to direct my own work and interpret and direct the scripts of other writers.
I also devise work with actors and write scripts in collaboration with performers, and other creative team members.
I work with professional and training actors and also with children and young people, in workshop, youth outreach and after school settings.
I directed The Shakespeare Project – an R&D production, investigating how the First Folio would interact with modern MC vocal delivery styles, when mixed with a BSL-influenced choreography and movement style. I was also producer and editor on this production. Find out more here.
I was Director and Writer at Dark Horse Theatre on the promenade theatre piece, Each Day I Live. I worked weekly with the actors to devise, write and direct the piece, which drew influences from the actors’ daily lives, plus the music of Aphex Twin and Whitney Houston. Find out more here.
I directed the #ChipShoptheMusical video trailer, which was part of my overall work as creator, writer, producer and outreach facilitator on this mould-breaking, grime-meets-brass, site specific musical, that toured fish & chip shops across northern England. Find out more here.

I was Assistant Director on Snakebite by Dark Horse Theatre, an opportunity which I was given after successfully completing the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme Introduction to Directing course.

I directed all digital platform video content for the prime time Channel 4/TwoFour series, Bedtime Live. The digital content for this series won n IVCA Clarion Gold Award.
I regularly facilitate and direct writing, theatre and acting workshops with young people, working for organisations including New Writing North, BBC, Dark Horse Theatre Freedom Studios, Royal Exchange Theatre, Creative People & Places, Right Up Our Street, Lawrence Batley Theatre.
